Brutoco Engineering & Construction, Inc. considers no phase of construction or administration of greater importance than accident prevention and asserts that accidents which result in personal injury of employees and damages to property and equipment represent needless waste and loss. Brutoco considers the prevention of accidents an integral part of its operation. The prevention of accidents is a major objective of the company, and the active and sincere cooperation of all employees is imperative. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 states our common goal of safe and healthful working conditions. The safety and health of the public, our employees and working partners continues to be the first consideration in operating our business. Safety and Health in our business must be part of every operation. Without question, it is every employee’s responsibility at all levels. It is the intent of Brutoco to comply with all laws, and to do this, we stay constantly aware of conditions in all work areas that can produce injuries. No employee is required to work at a job he/she knows is not safe or healthful. Everyone’s cooperation in detecting hazards and in turn, controlling hazards, is a condition and responsibility of our employee’s and partners. The personal safety and health of each employee and subcontractor of Brutoco is of primary importance. Prevention of occupational-induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that it is given precedence over operating productivity. Brutoco maintains a safety and health program conforming to the best practices of the construction industry. What has made our program successful, is that it embodies proper attitudes toward injury and illness prevention on the part of officers, project managers, supervisors, employees, and partners. It also requires cooperation in all safety and health matters, not only between supervisor and employee, but also between each employee and his/her co-workers. Only through such cooperative effort can a safety program, in the best interest of all, be established and preserved.
